He is not our personal maid, our go-to man when we need something done. No. God is our king, our father, our creator. He is omnipresent and omniscient. He is all-powerful and limitless. He doesn’t need us, but we desperately need Him. He doesn’t have to meet our needs and provide for us, yet He does. God wants our love, He longs for a relationship with us. How dare we use Him! How dare we treat Him as less than that! How dare we act as if we are more important than God! We are here to love and serve God, He isn’t here to serve us. And yet, He does anyway. Amazing love.
