Hatred and dislike.

How easy it to dislike someone? To hate someone? We judge people, we refuse to love them. We don’t even realize it sometimes, that we act in this loveless way. But we are here to love everyone. Even that person who posts really annoying things on Facebook, or that other person who is rude in class. Everyone.

But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. 1 John 2:11

I can definitely relate with not loving someone. In fact, I also often struggle with it. But I noticed that this attitude is not only found in me. We often do it ourselves, despite being called to love. They say love is blind, but the Bible tells us here that hatred is too. We are supposed to be an example (Matthew 5:16). We show others our Christian hearts through walking in love in every part of our lives. God’s love is in us, and we are to show it in everything we do. It’s not okay to dislike or hate someone. We have to live in love. I do, you do, they do. Everyone. God is love. “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:11
