On Judgement Day, we will stand before God, and we will give an account for ourselves. Every word, every thought, every action. There will be no fingers pointed, no one to blame. It’s all us. God’s given us this life, and what are we doing with it? Are we going to get to Him and be able to say we did everything we could to glorify Him, or are we going to have to say we spent our time chasing our own desires? That’s a pretty tough question, an idea that as teens we put off till we’re older.
We make choices every day, and some are pretty insignificant, but others are super important. Are we gonna chase that boy/girl? Are we gonna start doing drugs? Are we gonna start falling away from God? Any bad decision can lead to that, slowly or not. We have to be careful. We have to remind ourselves that God is in control, not us. We are not invincible.
We have to be careful what we surround ourselves with, who we surround ourselves with, and what we put in our head. We are responsible for ourselves, and one day we’ll stand before God and tell Him everything. There will be no hiding, no lying, no blaming. We need to live for Him now, not put it off for when we’re adults. God is way more important, way better than any temptation on earth.
